Can I Use My Own Car for Pass Plus?

Absolutely, you have the option to complete the Pass Plus course in your own vehicle if you prefer. Alternatively, if you don’t yet have your own car or would rather not use it, you can complete the course using your instructor’s car.

The course is divided into six modules, each addressing various aspects of daily driving:

1. Town Driving:

Enhance your observational skills and awareness, especially valuable for urban driving. Navigate complex junctions, underpasses, and various road lanes, including tram, bus, and cycle lanes.

2. All-Weather Driving:

Prepare for diverse weather conditions, including heavy rain, snow, ice, fog, and bright sunshine. Learn skid prevention and handling, as well as the science behind reduced stopping distances in adverse weather.

3. Driving on Rural Roads:

Adapt to the unique challenges of countryside driving, including blind bends, wildlife encounters, and overtaking slow vehicles. Discover safe passing spots and strategies for navigating sharp corners, horse riders, cyclists, farm vehicles, and road debris.

4. Night Driving:

Gain confidence driving after dark. Topics include proper headlamp usage, adjusting to varying light levels, managing dazzle, and judging speeds and distances in night-time conditions.

5. Driving on Dual Carriageways:

Focus on dual carriageway navigation, covering joining and leaving the carriageway via slip roads, overtaking, lane discipline, and maintaining safe following distances.

6. Driving on Motorways:

Learn essential motorway skills, especially valuable if you haven’t had extensive motorway experience. Topics include maintaining safe speeds under different conditions, managing motorway fatigue, handling breakdowns, proper lane use, and following directional signs.
